Christa Coogan is on the faculty of the Department of Elemental Music Pedagogy at the Conservatory for Music and Theater in Munich, Germany. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is the Conservatory coordinator for outreach work with refugee populations. Her extensive work with children and youth includes teaching dance and facilitating the creating of dance and music performances in schools. She has been teaching at the Orff Institute for over 25 years and is on the faculty of the San Francisco International Orff course in the USA. Christa presents seminars and workshops throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas as a movement specialist in Orff Schulwerk. She holds a BFA degree in dance from the Juilliard School in New York and a MA in Dance Studies from the University of Salzburg.
