Developing Improvisation on the xylophone and Drum in the General Music Classroom.
Participants will be taken through a process used to develop improvisation on the xylophone with elementary and middle school students. Teacher skill and technique will also be developed to give them more confidence to be a better leader in the drum ensemble. This ‘hands on’ workshop will be musical, philosophical, and fun!!!
Again, fun is the key to learning and will be the focus of this session.
