JAMES HARDING

Love Potion #9

What is the magic ingredient in a successful Orff-Schulwerk lesson? Is it the space we build in for student creativity to show up? Is it the connection we make to poetry, drama, visual art and dance? Is it skillful sequencing, the way that we scaffold our teaching from simple to complex so that all learners can be successful? In this workshop, we will explore some examples of recent projects at the San Francisco School during pandemic times, with an eye to identifying the principles of Orff Schulwerk in operation even in distance- or hybrid-learning situations.
